FAQs

  • We will travelling out to South Africa in January 2024 to get ready for Vintage #4.

Once we arrive, the democratic process begins. Every time we have a decision to make from then on, we will give you a vote. For example, would you prefer the sweet vanilla spice that comes from aging in oak barrels or would you prefer that the wine keeps it’s fruit flavours from being kept in stainless steel tanks.

We will provide you with a couple of options for each decision, all the technical information you require, the pro’s and con’s of each choice and the risks for you to make an informed decision!

  • We will only provide you with good options and with all the pro’s and con’s for each option.

If you’re still unsure you can of course abstain or pass your vote to another person and even us!

  • This really depends on what is voted for. Typically we aim to get the wine to you between 1-2 years.

  • Not of the ‘democratic’ wines but if you want to buy our first ‘dictator’ wine ‘Edition #1’ to test the quality, head to our shop!

  • Obviously this is! Know someone who likes drinking wine, is curious and wants to learn more and loves fun experiences? This ticks all the boxes. Gift cards are available in our shop too.

  • £30 per bottle may seem like a lot, but we like think that really the education and the fun that comes with the experience makes up much more than 50% of the cost. So really it’s bargain!

  • It signs you up automatically for every vintage so you don’t have to worry about missing a vintage or having to enter your details again.

It is slightly different to a true subscription service in that the money you pay will work as credit will build in your account, so you could very easily opt out of a particular vintage if you prefer to use your credit on something else. Or if a vintage is more or less expensive for whatever reason neither you, nor I, would lose out.

Exit at any time and use any remaining credit in our shop. I’ll consider you committed to a vintage after the first vote (if you haven’t opted out in advance).
